This Arabic calligraphy linen hanging reads “حب” [hubb], which is the Arabic word for love. The US President’s recent executive order bans citizens from seven countries from entering the US: Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and Iraq. This ban specifically targets Muslim immigrants and refugees, turning many of them back to countries where their lives have been devastated. In response to this ban, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was first to file against Trump’s executive order. $20 from each order will be donated to ACLU to help them continue to support immigrants and refugees.
The wall hanging is black ink on white linen, measures approximately 8 x 10 inches, and includes to metal clips for hanging.
